Our Competition Team
Our season 1 competition teams are set and ready to shine! Registration is now closed, but details for next season's evaluations will be announced in spring 2026
At Golden Groove Dance Co., we believe that competition is about more than just winning trophies - it's about fostering dedication, teamwork, and personal growth. Our studio creates a fun, supportive environment where young dancers can thrive, learn valuable life skills, and experience the excitement of performing. We aim to shine a positive light on the competition world, focusing on the joy of being part of a team, building confidence, and developing a strong work ethic. Through our unique approach to competition, dancers gain much more than just technical skills - they gain lifelong memories and friendships that will last long after the curtain falls.
Competition Team Requirements
- Compete in 3 local dance competitions, performing 2 group routines
-Must participate in summer dance
- Take weekly classes in ballet, jazz, hip -hop, in addition to a weekly competition choreography class
- Participate in weekly technique and conditioning classes
- Maintain a strong work ethic and positive attitude with strict attendance requirements
- Solo, Duo, and Trio opportunities available (spots are limited, and routines are subject to choreographer evaluation and request)
- Competition routines are separate from recital routines but will be performed at annual recital
