Golden Groove Dance Co. Competition Program
Golden Groove Dance Co. offers competition teams for dancers ages 7–17, with both low-commitment and higher-commitment travel team options available.
2026–2027 Competition Season Audition Date: Saturday, May 2nd, 2026
Auditions are required for all competition teams. Selection is based on skill level, technique, performance quality, and commitment. With limited spots available, auditioning does not guarantee placement on a team.

Golden Groove Dance Co. offers a well-rounded competition program designed to support dancers at every stage of their journey. With both low-commitment teams and higher-commitment travel teams available, families can choose the level that best fits their dancer. Our focus is on strong technique, performance quality, and building confident, dedicated dancers in a supportive team environment..
COMPETITION TEAM REQUIREMENTS
Golden Groove Dance Co.
PRE-ELITE TEAMS (BLUSH & POP)
Dancers are required to enroll in:
• 2 classes per week (one must be ballet, one of choice)
• Weekly competition rehearsal
Monthly Tuition: $200
Optional Add-Ons:
• 2 additional classes: $275/month
• Unlimited classes: $300/month
ELITE TEAMS (SOL & LUXE)
Dancers are required to enroll in:
• Hip-Hop
• Ballet
• Contemporary
• Jazz
• Weekly competition rehearsal
Monthly Tuition: $300
Optional Add-On:
• Unlimited classes (including styles such as musical theatre, acro, etc.): $350/month
SPOTLIGHT SERIES (SOLOS & DUOS)
The Spotlight Series is open to dancers on both pre-elite and elite competition teams who are ready to take on additional training and performance opportunities.
ELIGIBILITY
Solos and duos are available to dancers on Blush, Pop, SOL, and LUXE teams who meet studio expectations.
All placements are determined by GGDC directors based on readiness, commitment, and overall fit.
CHOREOGRAPHY FEES
Choreography fees are a one-time payment due at the start of the season:
• Solo: $200
• Duo: $120 per dancer
REQUIRED PRIVATE TRAINING
All Spotlight Series dancers are required to be enrolled in bi-weekly private lessons for the duration of the season.
• Bi-weekly private lessons: $80/month
These sessions focus on technique, cleaning, and competition preparation.
SOLO + DUO PARTICIPATION
Dancers may participate in both a solo and a duo if approved.
Dancers doing both are required to attend two private training sessions per week at a discounted rate:
• Two private lesson slots per week: $120/month total
(equal to $60 per session)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Competition entry fees are separate and applied per routine, per competition
• Costumes are not included and will be approximately $100–$150
• All choreography, music, and costuming decisions are at the discretion of GGDC
